i use the macro feature often to make a copy of owners manuals that come with products. some are in such small type they are impossible to read, but when you capture a picture of the manual as you see it both easy to read and easy to find on my computer, in a directory on my hard drive called c:\my documents\manuals_a_to_z

this was art work just 1 1/2 inch's wide originally. no flash, camera on tripod, set to wide angle at about 10 inches from front of lens, set to macro mode. jim baudo 4/13/2003
