KENWOOD F6 USERS SPEAK OUT |

| I think you'll like the KENWOOD F6. I bought mine to replace a Yaesu VX5,
which was OK, but 6M from a talkie isn't very useful around here. You should be able to hit repeaters on all 3
bands. Some people complain that the stock antenna isn't very good, but I have no complaints with it. The broadband receive on HF isn't very sensitive unless you have a resonant antenna hooked up to it. I could hear some stuff with 15' of wire in the bedroom but it hears a lot better with my outside HF wire antennas. From an operational standpoint, I'm much happier with it than I was with the VX5. The dual receive is really useful and I think the controls are much easier to work with. John - K9IJ COMMENTS BY JIM, N0UQZ. DUAL RECEIVE ITS GREAT RATED A 10 ON MY LIST. |
| I am new to this site, and read a number of
the posts here, and I am amazed at all the complaints about the
handheld. Does anyone like the radio? I got one, and found it to
be light years ahead of my VX-5r. All in all, I think it is the
best HT on the market. K2WH |
| I love the radio! I have it it now for
about 4 months. This is way ahead and anything on the market right
now. Ryan - KC0MDD |
