Convoy® motor oil is formulated for extended oil life beyond 15,000 miles. Its special blend of synthetic oil (PAO), additives and molybdenum (moly) help maintain the vital parts of the oil even under severe conditions.

When extending oil drain intervals, oil filter must be changed at recommended oil change intervals. Use Conklin’s used oil analysis program to maximize oil life and engine longevity. By sampling your engines oil, you can be assured the oil and the engine are in sound condition. Oil analysis not only shows the condition of the oil, it also shows the condition of the engine, providing possible early warning signs of a problem. Oil analysis is the key to extending drain intervals and providing pertinent information on the condition of the oil and engine for family vehicles, farm equipment, or over the road trucks.

ABOUT 1961 I STARED USING A VARIETY OF OIL FORTIFIER'S THAT WOULD INCREASE THE QUALITY OF THE OIL OR A COMBINATION OF LESS OIL CONSUMPTION, WEAR PROTECTION, LONGER LIFE, MORE PROTECTION AT HIGHER TEMPERATURES OR EASIER STARING IN COLDER TEMPERATURES. FOR MORE THAN 25 YEARS I EXPERIMENTED WITH JUSTICE BROTHERS, STP, ALL THE BRANDS A TO Z AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR A FREQUENT OIL CHANGE AND OIL WEIGHT DEPENDENT ON THE TEMPERATURE. UNTIL 1990

SYNTHETIC OIL IN 1990 CHANGED MY MIND COMPLETELY ABOUT CHANGING OIL PER THE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE INTERVAL.

I WAS EXCITED WHEN IT WAS TIME TO DO THE FIRST OIL CHANGE IN MY NEW TRUCK. I HAD INSTALLED A EQUESS DIGITAL OIL TEMPERATURE GAUGE AND THE OIL TEMPERATURE HAD BEEN RUNNING 254 DEGREES AT 60 MILES PER HOUR AT 90 DEGREES OUT DOOR TEMPERATURE. TODAY WAS THE DAY I WOULD MAKE THE CHANGE TO AMSOIL FULL SYNTHETIC. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE THE TEMPERATURE ONLY ROSE TO 196 DEGREES. I KNEW IT WOULD CLIMB IN ANOTHER FEW MINUTES, BUT NO IT REMAINED A CONSTANT 196 DEGREES. THIS WAS THE FIRST MAJOR BREAK TROUGH I HAD EVER EXPERIENCED IN ALL MY YEARS OF EXPERIMENTING WITH OILS AND ADDITIVES. I HAD FINALLY FOUND A PRODUCT THAT MADE A DIFFERENCE. LOWER OPERATING TEMPERATURE WOULD MUCH EXTEND THE LIFE OF THE MOTOR AND RELATED ITEMS LIKE THE WATER PUMP.

FROM 1992 TO 1998 I USED A VARITY OF PARA SYNTHETIC OILS. TEMPERATURES VARIED FROM 206 TO 212 DEGREES. CONKLIN CONVOY WAS ONE OF THEM I USED AND RECOMMEND.

I LIKE THE CONKLIN PRODUCTS SO MUCH I HAD SERVICE STATIONS KEEP CONKLIN PRODUCTS  ON HAND SO MY FRIENDS AND BUSINESS ACQUAINTANCES COULD BENEFITED FROM THE ADVANTAGES THAT CONKLIN OIL PRODUCTS OFFERED. IN 1998 I SWITCHED MY WIFE'S CAR OVER TO CONKLIN CONVOY. IN 1999 I READ ABOUT DMX, VOTED THE PRODUCT OF THE YEAR BY THE OIL INDUSTRY. I CHANGED TO REGULAR OIL IN MY TRUCK AND THE TEMPERATURE ROSE TO 254 DEGREES. I ADDED THE DMX AND WITHIN 40 MINUTES THE TEMPERATURE WAS 204 DEGREES. I USED DMX IN A VARITY OF AUTOS AND ALL RESULTS WERE VERY GOOD. IN 2002 I DISCOVERED PRIMROSE OIL.

Conklin's Used Oil Analysis Program: THIS IS WHAT THE FACTORY HAS TO SAY.

   Conklin offers used oil analysis testing through CTC Analytical Services. CTC Analytical Services Inc has been in the oil analysis business since 1961, with customers in all 50 states and several foreign countries. CTC laboratories are capable of performing over one hundred ASTM methodologies. Every laboratory location has at least one degreed chemist on site. Together, CTCs Technical staff posses more years combined analytical fluid testing experience than any of it's competitors.

CTC provides spectrochemical analysis which includes measuring wear metals: iron chromium, lead, copper, tin, aluminum, nickel, silver, manganese, titanium and vanadium; contaminants: silicon, boron, sodium and potassium; additives: magnesium, calcium, barium, phosphorus, zinc and molybdenum; plus levels of fuel dilution; soot; water; glycol and viscosity.

Testing can be done on any type of oil including engine oil, transmission oil, gear oil, hydraulic oil, and compressor oil. Additional tests such as coolant analysis can be done for an extra fee.

CTC will test the sample of oil you send in and provide a report to you by mail, email and/or by fax specifying all levels of the items listed in the spectrochemical analysis above.
