Hi Jim:
I went in and read about 30 consumer reviews
on the Fusion Quick Cam & the biggest % of the people liked the hell
out of it. Possibly the people that had a negative comment about it
just didn't set it up properly. Other than the fact that I had to
download updated software from what came with it, I thought that it
was pretty simple to set up.(you know what my level of computer
technology is/not very high) You also know know how great a picture
that it delivered to you & that is what is important.(that is the
kind of picture that we want coming to us from Norway) I also saw
that everyone, with no exceptions, had nothing but BAD COMMENTS to
say about "YAHOO MESSENGER" and it performance with this webcam. If
that is the case with this webcam it is possibly the same situation
with other webcams too. Not too many mentioned "SKYPE" but those
that did said that they were very pleased using the Fusion with it.
Also those that had comments about MSN Messenger were very
complimentary about it's performance there too. I will copy Kris
with this note too and advise her to STAY AWAY FROM YAHOO
MESSENGER too when she gets her webcam & gets set up to use PC to PC
calling like you & I have enjoyed. I will do some testing with you
at the lake, on my laptop, to make sure that all is well using my
laptop because her laptop & mine are about the same & if it works
for me it should be just fine for her too. I just don't want to send
something to her not knowing that it will be OK and work the way
that we want it to.
